Coastwise Ballast Water

August 10, 2017

Coastwise Ballast Water (Coastwise BW) is BW discharge that did not require crossing the combined US and Canadian EEZ’s when transported from the source location to the discharge location. In general coastal ballast water is water from areas within 200 nautical miles from shore. Coastwise Ballast Water is not the same as Coastal Ballast Water.
